Our Staff


Meet Jeff Traughber
Jeff is a native and life-long resident of Todd County. He is a 1996 graduate of Todd County Central High and received his undergraduate degree from Western Kentucky University and his law degree from the University of Louisville, Louis D. Brandeis School of Law.
From 2004 to 2008, Jeff gained experience in a fast-paced private law office in Bowling Green, Kentucky. In 2008, he returned to his hometown of Elkton to enter into private practice with former Todd County Attorney Kenneth E. Dillingham, with whom he would later form the partnership of Dillingham & Traughber.
In November of 2018, Jeff was elected as the Todd County Attorney and was sworn into the seat in January of 2019. In his role, Jeff oversees the prosecution of criminal cases in the Todd District Court, the prosecution of juvenile dependency, neglect and abuse cases in Todd District Court, the statutory responsibilities of assistance with guardianship, mental health petitions, and property tax collection and he serves as legal advisor to the Todd County Fiscal Court and all Todd County agencies.
Jeff is strongly connected to his community and has served as a leader and volunteer for various causes such as the Elkton-Todd County Park, Green River Academy, Elkton Rotary Club, and the Todd County Foundation.
Jeff is a member and deacon of Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church in the Allegre Community. He is married to Jennifer Boley Traughber and they have three children, Ty, Laci and Ally.
